What is this?
It’s been tricky to find ADV/Adventure riding groups in this area. Vermont seems to have a few ADV themed motorcycle clubs, and I did find one further down south of Catskills. Now central and northeast New York have one too!
What is “Adventure” riding?
Well, maybe you all can debate the finer points, but it’s the hobby of taking motorcycles places that are beautiful to you, and probably a bit out of the way.
To me, it means gravel roads, crossing streams, climbing fills, dodging rocks and logging miles.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good road cruise too! Most adventures mix on-road and off-road travel, possibly with some “moto camping” and certainly some good photo opps.
And that’s the beauty of ADV riding, it mixes both. Motorcycles and riders capable of finding adventure wherever it is!
So if you ride, or are interested in getting started, this community is for you.

Introductions
I’ll start:
I’m Eddie, work in software, live in Peru, riding about 10 years as an adult.
I ride a BMW G650 GS. It’s a bit slow on the highway, a bit heavy on the trails, but right mix of both, and still small enough for me to pickup, lol.
